Research area: Mixed Reality, spatial computing and intelligent navigation

AEGIS is a Mixed Reality research project focused on intelligent emergency guidance and spatial navigation in indoor environments. The system aims to help users identify safe exit routes while accounting for blocked passages and changing environmental conditions. The initial Unity-to-HoloLens 2 connection has been established, and virtual objects are visible through Holographic Remoting. Development is progressing from basic rendering toward dynamic object movement, real-world spatial alignment, user-position tracking and physical-environment integration. The planned workflow includes environment representation, route generation, blocked-exit detection and dynamic rerouting.

Key technologies: Unity, Microsoft HoloLens 2, Mixed Reality, spatial mapping and route-generation algorithms.

Objective: Develop and evaluate an interactive Mixed Reality prototype for real-time indoor emergency guidance and adaptive evacuation navigation
