Satellite Image Processing & Analysis
One of the prominent means of remote sensing and precision technologies is based on the image analysis. Satellite images provides an immense details of the land cover and land use. A number of technology innovations can be developed based on this available data for indian centric and world scenarios. These can range from a global (macro) scale to local miniscale problems such as, understanding the overall land use - land cover compositions, urban planning, identification of resources and anomalies to precision agriculture, landslide detection, and identifying a particular place / object or track a targeted object. Through TIH at IIT Tirupati “Navavishkar Hub” we actively involve in investigating few of these challenges and projects of national importance, and do fund the active researchers and the investigators across India and the globe.
